With the ATELIER COLLECTION 2012, David design is presenting a new start.

David design is the well renowned Scandinavian manufacturer of contemporary furniture design since two decades. With new management, new designers and new products, David design is now presenting to the world for the first time the ATELIER COLLECTION.

The work behind the new collection – from the planning, the briefing to the designers, the prototyping of their projects and, finally, to the presentation to the public during the Stockholm Design Week in February 2012 and at Rossana Orlandi during the Salone del Mobile week 17th - 22th April – has been a process somewhat similar to that of a creative workshop.

Atelier is French for workshop or studio. And to us it particularly evokes the image of an artist’s workroom. When looking at the entire new collection, ATELIER felt an appropriate name.

The designers for the ATELIER COLLECTION 2012 are Claesson Koivisto Rune, Richard Hutten, Inga Sempé, Luca Nichetto, Benjamin Hubert, Andreas Engesvik (formerly of Norway Says) Staffan Holm, and Cate & Nelson.
